It’s only fitting that Matador Ranch is taking that best management approach and applying it to its wildlife management program.
Matador Ranch’s goal is to develop a worldclass, managed whitetail hunting operation that results in high-quality entertainment for guests as well as build a reputation as one of the premier deer breeders. As a foundation, the ranch has built a top-of-the-line breeding facility including an artificial breeding facility and enclosed more than 1,000 acres under high fence to provide a premier managed hunting location. With expert advice from industry leaders on genetics and hunting consultants, and in full compliance with all Texas game laws and regulations, Matador Ranch is focused on creating value within this industry.
Matador's breeding program uses select, proven genetics. The ranch's doe lines include Cactus Jr., Renegade, Texas Sam, Sully and Bambi Sawblade. For its sires, Matador has Slingblade, Texas Sam, Blade, Renegad, Cactus Jr. and Bambi Sawblade, along with Apollo 13 in its breeding program.
